Vandals strike on Makgatlela Street in Sakhile
“The load-shedding crisis is allowing criminals to steal from the community.”
Councillor Gibson Xulu sent information to the newspaper on December 1 about vandals operating in Sakhile.
The community woke up to vandalised water meter boxes at 1742, 1745, 1497 and 1498 Makgatlela Street.
Also vandalised were an electrical cable and a circuit breaker on 3653 Makgatlela Street.
“The motorists cannot go to work because the live cable blocks the driveway,” Xulu said.
The reference number supplied by the Lekwa Municipality is 5230.
“The load-shedding crisis is allowing criminals to steal from the community,” he concluded.
