Thabo Motaung is ANC-candidate in Standerton by-election

Other candidates who will contest the by-election are Corné Stoltz, standing as independent, Thinus Janse van Vuuren from the DA and Hillel Coetzer from the Freedom Front Plus.

The ANC candidate for Ward 4, which includes Meyerville and TLC, claims to have the community’s interest at heart.

According to Thabo Motaung, the two areas need not be separated and everybody should be assisted as far as service delivery is concerned.

“Previous councillors did not attend to the community of TLC. The ANC wants to rectify the situation. People recognised my value and wanted me to assist them,” Motaung said.

The voter number stands at 1 300 and on by-election day of October 25, Laerskool Kalie de Haas and TLC will be open for residents to cast their votes.
