Cycle for SA Guide-Dogs Association in the 947 ride Joburg 2023

947 Vitality Ride Joburg – A junction where freedom and independence meets.

The SA Guide Dogs Association for the Blind is turning 70 this year and is excited to announce that we are a registered charity in the 947 Joburg Ride taking place on Sunday 19 November 2023 at the FNB Stadium.

For many people, it is a dream to be able to ride the 947-cycle challenge. For the millions of people living with disabilities in South Africa, their dream is simply to be able to get to work unassisted, or cook a meal for their family.

At the SA Guide Dogs Association for the Blind, we help the millions of visually impaired and physically disabled people achieve their dreams. We provide Guide Dogs for people who are visually impaired, Service Dogs for people who are physically disabled, Autism Support Dogs for children on the Autism spectrum and teach vital life skills to people who live with visual impairment through our Orientation & Mobility services.

The SA Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind’s vision is to have a country where every person with visual and physical disabilities can experience freedom and independence and by cycling for Team Guide Dogs, you can help make more dreams come true!

All proceeds of this event will go towards the training of more Assistance Dogs and providing much-needed assistive devices such as a white cane to people living with disabilities.
