Support SA Cares in Cullinan

A sale will be held on July 23.

SA Cares is a charity organisation that was started to help people in need in Cullinan. This charity receives fresh produce from farmers such as carrots, cabbage, beetroot and apples.

They don’t receive any assistance from the government. Sponsors, mostly from the Netherlands and Finland are helping them keep the place up and running.

SA Cares support people who need help and who are willing to accept help.

They are also involved in helping women who come out of abusive relationships. The women are taken to ABBA safe house.

Sewing machines are used to teach people how to sew.

SA Cares will go out late at night to help a mom in distress. Computer classes are given to the homeless to teach them the basics of Windows and Microsoft Office.

They are taught how to set up their CV and what to do at an interview. Sewing classes are also offered for women who want to learn about sewing and embroidering.

The organisation makes their bricks, which they sell to the public, only on order. SA Cares also just recently opened a butchery. They sell meat to raise money to help feed the homeless.

Local businesses that do not always have money to donate, offer up their time to help SA Cares.

The Wingman Association often helps out with the installation of new water tanks and provides a tractor to plough the land for a vegetable garden.

A borehole is in the pipeline for watering the vegetables.

There is also a coffee shop people can support, where they roast their own coffee beans from light, medium to dark roast to use in the coffee shop.

They also have a charity shop on the premises where they sell books, glassware and clothes at an affordable price.
SA Cares will have items on sale on July 23.
