Black Business Chamber in Gert Sibande Region is concerned about the crime rate

Local Black Business Chamber members want to see change.

Members of the Local Black Business Chamber (LBBC) are concerned about the increase of crime in the area.

“The last six months has seen an assault on businesses in the Gert Sibande region,” said Marcus Mlungu, spokesman of the LBBC.

“From the murders of business owners to the bombing at filling stations, it is worrying to us. It is unclear if these crimes are related, however, we condemn such atrocities and we call upon business leaders to come up with ways to combat this plague of crime.”

The LBBC is a non-profit organisation that represents and promotes the interests of local businesses.

They urged the authorities to come up with proactive strategies to protect local businesses as these businesses are the backbone of the economy.
