Support the Rosie range to help animals in Bethal area

The Rosie range is now available to order. All proceed to go to Project Uthando.

Rosie shopper bags and pants are now on sale by order.

These creative pieces are handmade by Dada Pietersen, and in collaboration with Because Dogs & Co, she raises money for their Project Uthando.

Project Uthando’s mission is to help the less fortunate animals in rural areas around Bethal. The focus is on sterilisation, vaccinations and the deworming of dogs.

The project also educates dog owners in rural areas on how to take better care of their animals.

Why call it Rosie?

Because one of Project Uthando’s most neglected dogs, named Rosie, was surrendered to them after residents in the rural area called her a demonic monster because of her awful looks caused by neglect and mange.

Rosie has since made a miraculous recovery. Her hair has grown back, but she requires continuous medical care to recover completely.

What makes the Rosie designs unique? Rosie is a pure Africanis dog, and the designs and prints are from ethnic print material.

“Being a mom of 10 rescue dogs takes a lot of time and dedication, and with this load-shedding, it is almost impossible to do something creative.

“But finally, I can introduce to you my ultimate doggie daycare gear, the Rosie pants and Rosie shopper bag,” said Pietersen.

Rosie shopper bags can now be ordered through Project Uthando.

The pants cost R550 for sizes extra small to large in a standard length. For extra length, they cost R580. These prices exclude courier costs.

The designs depend on the availability of the fabric. Rosie shopper bags cost R350, excluding courier costs.
Because the shopper bags are handmade, designs may differ.

You can also personalise your Rosie shopper bag by sending a photo of your dog or cat and their name.

“You can save a life by being a sport and supporting this good cause. Help us help those without a voice by supporting our cause,” concluded Pietersen.

Project Uthando has a Facebook page. Please visit and like and follow them. To place orders, contact Pietersen via WhatsApp on 076 745 6129.
