Court sentenced robbers from Sakhile to 15 years imprisonment
The culprits were denied bail after their court appearance and is in custody since 2019.
Sifiso Welcome Mphuthi (aka # Somnyama), Bandile Ntuli (aka Qondu) and Lawrence Sibusiso Tshabalala (aka Mangangane) were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each by the Ermelo Regional Court.
According to Sakhile Police, #Somyama had already been sentenced to 17 years imprisonment for murder and the additional 15 years will run concurrently.
The culprits were charged with robbery with aggravated circumstances after breaking a gate and entering a property on August 21, 2019.

According to police, they assaulted Bongumusa Cele, pointed a knife at him and stole goods. A computer CPU and monitor as well as a cellphone were stolen.
Police later arrested them and recovered the items. The culprits were denied bail after their court appearance and remained in custody since 2019.
Sergeant Detective Dan Nomfenge was the investigating officer.
