Jason Botha’s body found in family dam in Boschkop area
Police have opened an inquest into his death.
Boschkop police have opened an inquest docket after a young man’s body was found in a dam near his parents’ house on January 6.
Jason Botha (21) was reported missing on December 31.
Many social media users offered prayers and words of encouragement while the search for Jason ensued last week.
However, Botha’s father found his body floating in the dam near their house.
According to the Boschkop police spokesperson, Constable Yeroboam Mbatsane, emergency services and police were called to the scene where Botha was declared deceased.
Boschkop station commander Lieutenant Colonel Gerald Witbooi conveyed his condolences to the family and thanked the community for their assistance during the search for Botha.
