Two die when car rolls on R546 in eMbalenhle
“Medics assessed the men and found that two had already succumbed to numerous injuries,” said Russel Meiring, communication officer at ER24 ambulance services.
Two men were killed and three others were seriously injured when a car rolled on the R546 in eMbalenhle on Tuesday night, September 20.
According to Russel Meiring, communication officer for ER24 ambulance services, their paramedics arrived on the scene at 19:15 to find a light motor vehicle upright on the side of the road.
“Five men were found lying outside the vehicle, one of them partially beneath the vehicle.
“Medics assessed the men and found that two had already succumbed to numerous injuries.
“Nothing could be done for them, and they were declared dead,” said Meiring on Wednesday, September 21.
The three other men were found with moderate to serious injuries.
Meiring said the men were treated and later transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
