Bronkhorstspruit’s Sector 4 CPF unites with law enforcement against crime

A revival meeting of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 4 consisting of Forfar, Firolaz, Vaalbank, Valtaki, Witfontein, Schietpoort and Onverwacht was held at Diamond X Ranch in Vaalbank in the Bronkhorstspruit area.
The meeting took place on Thursday, September 15 and was well attended by community members.
The purpose of the meeting was to elect a new structure for the CPF, Sector 4.
All elections were done in the presence of the chairperson of the CPF in Bronkhorstspruit, Captain Sipho Zulu from the Bronkhorstspruit Police, Brigadier Nhlapo from the Tshwane Metro Police Department, and Maud van Venrooy and Frikkie Britz from the executive committee of the CPF.
PN Basson was elected as the chairman for Sector 4, Martie Cloete as deputy chairperson, Megan van Staden as secretary, Magriet Visagie as deputy secretary, Andries du Plessis as the treasurer and Temogo Ditlhogo as the public relations officer.
A CPF Youth Desk was also elected during the meeting and Abel Ranamane was elected as its chairperson.
During the event, the ‘Patrollers in Blue’, trained by the office of the MEC and registered on the database of the police, were handed their safety vests.
“The purpose of the CPF is to take hands with law enforcement to prevent and combat crime in its areas,” said Van Venrooy.
“The newly elected structure of CPF Sector 4 extends its appreciation towards the owners of Diamond X Ranch for hosting the meeting in its conference room,” Van Venrooy concluded.
