Standerton Police act on drugs tip-offs

Altogether 45 crystal meth sachets with an estimated street value of R5 400 and a cash amount of R250 were found.

An intelligence-driven operation yielded success on September 8 when the Sakhile Crime Prevention Unit arrested a suspect in connection with dealing in drugs.

According to police, a source provided information about alleged drug dealing at Mosia Street, Loss Section, Sakhile.

During the operation, the identified suspect was found at her address and the property searched.

A total of 45 crystal meth sachets with an estimated street value of R5 400, as well as a cash amount of R250 were found.

Sakhile Police opened a case.

In another similar operation the same day in Sebiloane Street, Loss Section, Sakhile sources provided information about alleged drug dealing.

During the operation, the identified suspect was found and searched.

Six brown methcathinone (Cat) and four white methcathinone (Cat), with an estimated street value of R1 400, were recovered.

The suspect was apprehended and Sakhile Police opened a case.
