Secunda Flying Squad clamps down on suspected blue light criminals

The police are investigating the possibility that this can be related to crimes in the area.

Blue lights, an unlicensed gun, a signal jammer and the uniforms and reflector jackets of traffic officers were found in a car on the R29 near Leandra during the night of June 3 and morning hours of June 4.

Members of the Secunda Flying Squad were patrolling the R29 near Leandra during the early hours of June 4 when they came across a suspicious vehicle.

The car had false number plates.

They stopped the vehicle but two suspects immediately jumped out and fled.

The driver was arrested.

 

The police searched the car and found all these goods that are used in blue light hijackings and other crimes.

The arrested suspect and all property were handed in at Leandra Police Station.
