Support golf day in Secunda to give back to needy children

Group of friends want to reach out.

A group of local golf players, known as the Money Gamers Golf Club, is organising a golf tournament to collect money for charity organisations.

The main aim of the Money Gamers Golf Club Charity Tournament is to collect money for needy children at schools in the Trichardt, Evander, Kinross and Secunda areas.

One of the Money Gamers Golf Club’s senior members and now chairman, Daniel Nyathela, came up with this initiative at the beginning of this year.

The next tournament will take place on Saturday, June 4 at Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club.

Registration will take place from 07:00 to 08:45 and tee off time will begin at 09:30.

The game will be played in IPS format and the green fee is R300.

There is a hole-in-one cash prize of R100 000 up for grabs.

Businesses that are interested can sponsor a hole for R2 000.

The proceeds of the day will be used to donate winter clothes to three primary schools in the Govan Mbeki municipal area.

Any donations from businesses or individuals are welcome.

Nyathela said: “We will appreciate taking you with us on this journey of giving back, following the lead of our main sponsor, Bhambatha Anatech Engineering and Construction (Pt) Ltd.

“They say money does not buy happiness, which is true but give it away to a worthy cause and your heart will be filled with joy and happiness.”

For more information or to get involved or sponsor a hole, contact Nyathela at 072 113 2822 or Lester Fynn at 083 264 9139 or Ernest Khumalo at 076 585 5960 or send an email to pappa.mashaba@gmail.com

Interested golf players can also register by sending a WhatsApp message with the word “Register” to 072 018 2553.
