Blood donors in Secunda receive awards for donating many units

Function could not be held last year because of Covid-19 pandemic.

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) Secunda branch recently awarded their donors who reached new milestones.

These donors were supposed to receive their awards last year, but because of the Covid-19 restrictions, the donor awards function was not held.

The blood service staff handed over the awards at the various blood clinics.

Mr Henry van der Merwe was awarded for donating 200 units of blood, Mr Bertram Ellard was awarded for 125 units, Mr Marius du Pre for 100 units, Mr James Barnard and Mr Johan Smith were awarded for 75 units each and Mr Jaco Botha and Ms Johanna Stanger for 50 units each.
