Lekwa City FC of Standerton restores lost pride

Lekwa City’s next match is at the Sakhile Stadium on Saturday, 24 April against Kriel Football Academy.

Lekwa City FC proved that home turf is the best when beating their opponents at the Sakhile Stadium on Wednesday, 14 April.

The home team beat Benfica FC 3-1.

The score at halftime was 0-0.

Things changed in the second half when the new recruit from Barberton, Tebogo ‘Mnaka’ Mhlanga, scored all three goals.

Lekwa City FC then travelled to Gemsbokspruit to play Gemsbok Classic FC on Saturday, 17 April.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Lekwa City scored first and Gemsbok Classic came back to equalise and scored their second goal,

Their opponent was leading at halftime by two goals to one, however Lekwa City managed to equalise.

Lekwa City’s next match is at the Sakhile Stadium on Saturday, 24 April against Kriel Football Academy.

Teams are participating in the ABC Motsepe League.
