Lone Buddys in Standerton reaches out to the community

The club thanked the community for all donations, as well as their sponsors Mr Pieter and Ms Kitty Jonker, Highveld Milling, Romanic Voere, Hoërskool Standerton, Hengelkas, Stinky to Blinky and Pro Pub.

Lone Buddys, a motorcycle club in Standerton, held a dog-and-cat-show on Saturday, 27 March as part of a fundraising initiative for someone in need.

The event was held at the premises of the Engen Garage in Meyerville.

Residents could enter their pets to compete in different categories, such as Look-a-like, Chase the race, Eat the meat, Best dressed owner and dog, musical chairs, as well as a spoon and egg/potato race.

The club thanked the community for all donations, as well as their sponsors Mr Pieter and Ms Kitty Jonker, Highveld Milling, Romanic Voere, Hoërskool Standerton, Hengelkas, Stinky to Blinky and Pro Pub. A live dog show showed how dogs are trained to catch criminals.

Judges handed over prizes to the winners towards the end of the day.
