BETHAL ‐ Areas in the Bokke Streets (ext 3) in Bethal have been without power for more than 16 hours by Sunday night, 28 March.

A breakdown has been reported due to vandalism and theft at the substation near Nestle.

The team from Govan Mbeki Municipality is currently on-site attending to the problem.

GMM has also implemented a temporary load reduction in other parts of Bethal.

According to the information given by the electricians to Mr Donald Green, acting head of communications, this is because of an overload in the network supply.

According to GMM, there is no restoration time as it depends on the network.
