VOC United FC grabs a win in first match of SAB league in Ermelo

“I would like to tell my team to keep on working hard as they will reap the rewards,” Nkosi said.

VOC United FC won the first match of the season in the SAB league in the Gert Sibande District which was held at the Mpumalanga Stadium on 7 March.

They won 3 – 1 against Wesselton Teenagers FC.

According to Siyabonga Nkosi, coach of VOC United FC, the match was challenging as it has been a while since players have been on the field.

“The fitness levels of the players are not quite there yet, but in due time will improve.”

He said his team began with practice about a month ago.

“I want to tell my team to keep on working hard as they will reap the rewards,” Nkosi said.

Leko Hlophi, coach of Wesselton Teenagers FC also felt like this match was challenging due to the fitness levels of the players.

“We have to keep our heads up and look for a win in our next clash,” Hlophi said.

The next match Wesselton Teenagers will be playing Breyten Stars at the Mpumalanga Stadium, Wesselton on 14 March.
