Help Charl Cilliers police make aged woman’s house livable

“We still need donations such as a kitchen unit and furniture. Any donation is welcome,”

Charl Cilliers Police and the CPF embarked on a project just before Christmas to repair and upgrade an elderly resident’s shack.

According to Const Millicent Mqoco, spokesperson for Charl Cilliers Police Station, Ms Beauty Mdluli’s health is deteriorating. She is originally from Hluhluwe, but has been living alone at Charl Cilliers for years. Her house was falling apart.

“We saw that her home was dilapidated and wanted to help. Ms Mdluli did not even have a proper bed.”

The team began work on the shack on 23 December. They laid cement on the floor and was able to find her a ¾ bed and a carpet.

“There is still much to be done,” said Const Mqoco.

“We still need donations such as a kitchen unit and furniture. Any donation is welcome,” she said.
