Police still investigating after woman is found murdered in Secunda

It appeared as if Ms Nkambule was strangled with the cord of an electric fan.

SECUNDA – The woman who was murdered in her home in Tuscan Village in Secunda on Friday evening, 5 June, is Ms Luyanda Nkambule (29).

According to the police, she was murdered during a house robbery.

A laptop and two cell phones were stolen.

Capt Gerhard Elmes, spokesman of Secunda Police, said her body was found by one of her two flatmates at around 5.25pm.

It appeared as if Ms Nkambule was strangled with the cord of an electric fan.

She was found with the cord around her neck. She was lying in a pool of blood with a big wound on her lower lip.

Paramedics were called to the scene where Ms Nkambule was declared dead.

The police are still investigating the murder and requested anyone with information to contact them at 017 624 2000 or 10111.
