Covid-19: Standerton Taxi Association supportive of lockdown regulations
They are hoping for assistance from government to small businesses as well as financial institutions' plans to help clients.
Mr Mandla Mbonani, chairman of the Standerton Taxi Association, relayed a message via the project manager of the Standerton Taxi Group to the Standerton Advertiser as regards the impact on the taxi industry.
Mr Nicholas Selepe said the association is complying with regulations since the lives of people are at stake.
The loss to income can not be estimated at this stage.
“They appreciate the increase in passenger numbers because most of them are dependent on the income,” Mr Selepe said.
They are hoping for assistance from government to small businesses as well as financial institutions’ plans to help clients.
