Const Mogadime reaches out to boys

Thomas talks about being a man of honour and how it can make a difference.

BETHAL – Mr South Africa Top 50-finalist Const Thomas Mogadime from the Bethal Police recently visited Hoërskool Hoogenhout.

He spoke to the boys about being a man of honour and said you need to accept the responsibility that you have a calling to make a real and remarkable difference in the lives of those who need your guidance and direction the most.

“Accepting and respecting the rights of others, fighting for human dignity, standing up for social justice and appreciating the environment make you the person you are,” he said.

A man of honour understands that greater happiness lies in helping others and not yourself.

He is willing to examine his defects and practices transparency and non-defensiveness.

He handles confrontation by acknowledging, taking responsibility and making choices.

Const Mogadime said being a man of honour is to put others first, to step forward, to volunteer and to always be ready to help those who really can not help themselves.
