BREAKING NEWS – Business owner shot and killed during business robbery in Thusi village

Capt Prinsloo said: “It seemed like there was a struggle and the owner was shot in his side.”

Ermelo Police is investigating a case of murder and armed robbery after a business owner was shot and killed in Thusi village on 1 August.

According to Capt. Carla Prinsloo, spokesman for Ermelo Police, the owner, two employees and three clients were in the office, when four men entered and pointed a firearm at the owner.

Capt Prinsloo said: “It seemed like there was a struggle and the owner was shot in his side.”

He was taken to hospital, but died before he could receive medical attention.

The four suspects fled with an unknown amount of money and the deceased’s blue Ford Ranger.

Ermelo Police urged anyone with information that can help the police with the investigation to contact Sergt. Bantam Nkosi at 017 819 2321 or alternatively at 082 737 8389.
