An abandoned baby boy was discovered in Hendrina on 8 June.
The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit took the abandoned baby to Middelburg Provincial Hospital.
Sgt Sipho Masango from (FCS), said the mother nor family members of the baby has not yet come forward.

He added that the baby has been moved to Middelburg Care Centre where he is being looked after.
