Passenger critically injured in accident
The vehicle overturned several times before plunging down an embankment.
A female passenger was critically injured when the driver lost control of the vehicle they were travelling in and it left the road and overturned several times before plunging down an embankment near Ermelo today (Wednesday.)
The driver of the vehicle suffered less serious injuries.
Emergency personnel treated and stabilised both patients on the scene before transporting them to hospital.
The accident happened at about 12:30 approximately 8 km from Ermelo on the N17 between Ermelo and Bethal.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
