Beer bottle allegedly thrown at pregnant woman

A family in Flora Park is unhappy about people drinking alcohol in the street, next to their house.

According to Ms Toni Redman-Evans this has been going on for more than eight months.

“We have reported it to the police but to no avail,” she said.

According to her, it takes the police hours to respond to calls and when they do they never resolve the issue.

Ms Venessa Mnisi who rents the building from which she runs the bottle store said she does not allow customers to drink alcohol outside on the street.

“I always tell them to buy and leave but they never listen,” Ms Mnisi said.
