Fountain bottle store nearly robbed dry

Fountain Bottle Store in Krogh Street was robbed in the early hours of 1 November .

“I only realised when I opened up for business that we had been robbed,” Mr Derick Mertz  of Fountain Bottle Store said.

It is unsure how many thieves were involved, but access was gained through a hole in the roof.

A hole was cut into the corrugated iron and again in the wood paneling in the roof.

“We have been doing business here for more than five years and never had a problem with crime.”
