Mother concerned about drugs in town

Drug and alcohol addiction have been around for as long as we can remember, it not only affects adults, but young people seem to be an easy target.

Weekly reports are published of arrests for possession of dagga, heroin and selling of alcohol without a licence.

A concerned mother, who would like to stay anonymous, has a son that had been on drugs, but has been clean for months after therapy.

According to her the number of school pupils in the know about where to find and buy drugs, is shocking.

Lt Nhlabathi also said three pupils have been arrested at two separate schools in our area for the possession of drugs in the past week.
