A woman was robbed at 5.45am on 17 May, while she was waiting for the transport that usually takes her to work.
According to her she saw a man coming towards her and she thought he was passing by. The thief grabbed her and slapped her and told her to give him money and her cell phone.
He took her bag and ran away.
She went back to her house and informed her uncle and her brother, who went to look for the thief, to no avail.
The complainant called her cell phone later, but there was no answer.
She then received a call from a woman who told her that she saw the thief and she would report him to the police.
The complainant reported the case to the police. The police urged the community not to buy stolen goods.
