Derick Human of Bethal wins golf championship
Jaysen Turpin of Middelburg finished second with 73 points while Divan Swart of Walker Park Golf Club finished third, also with 73 points.
EVANDER – Derick Human of Bethal Golf Club won the Division A gross category of the Junior Golf Open held at Walker Park Golf Club on Sunday, 16 February.
His score was 71 points.
Jaysen Turpin of Middelburg finished second with 73 points while Divan Swart of Walker Park Golf Club finished third, also with 73 points.
In the Division A net category, Morne Loock of Mbombela Golf Club was the winner and with 73 points while Terence Terblanche, also from Mbombela, finished second o74 points and Bea Breedt of Middelburg Country Club finished third also with 74 points.
In the Division B gross category, Elves Jele of Greenside finished first with 85 points while Brendan van den Heever of Middelburg claimed the second place with 87 points and Jon Jurie Grobler of Mbombela finished third with 89 points.
In the Division B net category, Sifiso Jele of Greenside finished first with 77 points, Mzwandile Nyundu, also of Greenside, second with 78 points and Janco Oosthuizen of Middelburg, third with 79 points.
In the Division C net category, Lungile Masemola of Bankenveld finished first with 46 points while Charl Wynand Louw of Walker Park finished second with 43 points and Banele Tapera of Greenside third with 37 points.
Kershin Naidoo was the winner in the D Division with 55 points while Dian Byleveld finished second with 56 points and Xolani Siamthanda third with 60 points.
The A, B and C divisions played 18 holes while the D division played nine holes.
