Bethal CPF says patrolling helps

BETHAL – Four cases of burglaries at houses were reported at Bethal Police early in January.

Thieves stole a television in Goldenray Avenue in Bethal, one bag containing clothes was stolen in Mark Street and in Festenstein Avenue a television, PlayStation, a decoder and a DVD player were stolen while thieves escaped with tyres stolen in North Avenue.

One case of theft out of a motor vehicle was reported between 30 December and 5 January.

Parts of a truck were stolen at the farm Bankpan.

At a different farm, Moois, thieves also stole parts from a truck. This was reported as a business robbery.

The committee members of Bethal’s Community Policing Forum (CPF), said the impact of all the visible patrollers is evident in the crime statistic and they thanked everybody involved in making Bethal a safer town.
