House of Mercy Hospice catches fire
He is thankful that no one was injured and that they managed to rapidly extinguish the fire.
SECUNDA – No one was injured at the House of Mercy Hospice in Hendrik de Waal Street after the fireplace caused part of the roof and wall to burn, tonight, 12 July.
One of the nurses working at House of Mercy and the owner of the house, Mr Deon Coetzee, quickly helped the elderly to evacuate the area and contacted the emergency services.
Mr Coetzee thanked Mr Marius Odendaal, Mr Read van Zyl, other individuals who helped to extinguish the fire, Kasselman Security Services from Standerton and Zello for their help and support.
He is thankful that no one was injured and that they managed to rapidly extinguish the fire.
