Awards to honour local icons

The awards are aimed at honouring men and women who contribute positively to society

HIGHVELD – “I am a woman, I have a purpose” will be honouring local heroes and heroines for their contribution towards the community on Saturday, 18 May, at Graceland’s Liberty Hall from 6pm.

The awards are hosted by Ms Mashudu Constance Mulaudzi, the founder of “I am a woman, I have a purpose” initiative, during which they strive to heighten the development of women within local communities.

Ms Mulaudzi said she has always wanted to positively impact the lives of women.

She is an advocate for the growth of women.

“Our first awards event was a great success and we also saw the need to encourage men who are contributing positively towards our communities.

“So we decided to partner with the “gentlemen with a vision” initiative founded by Mr Nkosinathi Nkuna, when they will be hosting their first annual awards.

“We fully believe that through promoting people who are contributing positively towards our communities, we build confidence and promote partnership,” said Ms Mulaudzi.

The tickets are selling for R150 and includes refreshments.
