High risk of rotational loadshedding for today – 6 March

Eskom advised residents to keep checking their load shedding schedules on Eskom’s or the municipality’s website and plan on the assumption that loadshedding will take place.

Eskom informed residents that there is a high risk of rotational loadshedding for today.

However, according to a press release from Eskom, it will only be implemented if it is absolutely necessary.

Eskom did not implement loadshedding yesterday, but the risk of loadshedding remains high for today as the system is still tight and vulnerable.

“We continue to encourage residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period,” stated the press release.

“Please switch off geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand.”

Eskom advised residents to keep checking their load shedding schedules on Eskom’s or the municipality’s website and plan on the assumption that loadshedding will take place.

Visit Eskom’s website at https://loadshedding.eskom.co.za or contact the customer care centre at 0860 037 566.

Eskom will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.

Eskom thanked the residents for their co-operation and understanding.
