Family loses everything when their house burns in Bethal

BETHAL – Mr Albert and Ms Cariska van Vuuren’s house in Cricket Avenue in Bethal caught fire yesterday morning, 2 December, at 6.10am.

They removed their two three-year-old children out of the house just in time.

The fire brigade tended to the scene, but it was too late to save anything.

Ms Van Vuuren’s 8-year-old daughter was not home at the time as she was visiting her father for the weekend and Ms Van Vuuren’s younger brother (13) was also not home.

They lost all their clothes in the blaze.

Her mother who lived in an outside building also lost all her clothes as it was stored inside the house.

Ms Marietjie Fourie, DA Councillor, asked the community to support the family by donating food, clothes, and furniture.

Ms Van Vuuren wears size a 32 or 34, Mr Van Vuuren a size 34 or 36 and Ms Van Vuuren’s mother wears a size 42.
