[UPDATE] Evander businessman missing – Two suspects arrested

[8.30pm] Update on the disappearance of Mr Mervin van Heerden of Karmer Meat Market in Evander.

EVANDER – Two people have been arrested late this afternoon, 4 August, in connection with the disappearance of Mr Mervin van Heerden, co owner of the Karmer Meat Market in Evander.

Mr Van Heerden has been missing since Thursday, 2 August.

His car was found at Evander dumping site yesterday afternoon.

A search of the dump site by rescue dogs and the police yielded nothing.

[9.30am] EVANDER – Mr Mervin van Heerden, co-owner of Karmer Butchery in Evander, is officially reported as missing after the police found his abandoned car at the Evander dumping site on Friday afternoon, 3 August.

The local police suspect foul play. A search of the dumping site did however not render any clues to what has happened to Mr Van Heerden.
