eMBALENHLE – The family of a 6-year-old girl who was raped in December is accusing the Evander Hospital of negligence.
According to the family, the doctors of the hospital refused to do check ups and take samples. They were also told there were no doctors responsible for that.
According to Ms Nelisiwe Mahlangu, the mother of the child, the doctors told her to return after five days.
“I could not believe my ears but I did not have any choice. I went back on said day and the sister told be that chances were slim that the evidence was still there.”
Ms Mahlangu said her woes became worse when she noticed that the suspect was released without her knowledge.
