Bethal is one of the fastest growing clubs in the country with 20 new players this year alone and will be hosting the event.

BETHAL – Bethal Polocrosse Club will host the South African Club Championship from 26 to 28 August.

The programme has not been finalised yet, but the club can be contacted for more information.

Bethal is one of the fastest growing clubs in the country with 20 new players this year.

The tournament will be divided into divisions.

In previous years the tournament has gone through from the A to F divisions and will be dependent on the draw.

The South African championship is a six-team draw tournament and will include a handicap limit on the A division.

Clubs enter their full teams, six players consisting of two sections of three players each.

A club can enter as many teams as possible, dependent on their available players.

The teams will get allocated to a division depending on their level of play/handicap.

The game is played on a field of 55m wide and 146.5m long, with 2.5m wide goals at each end.

The field is divided into three areas, namely two goal scoring areas measuring 27.5m from each goal line and the the mid-field area of 91.5m.

In front of each set of goalposts a semi-circle is marked, known as The D.

The lines separating the goal scoring areas from the mid-field are called penalty lines.
