Accidents on roads keep emergency and towing services on their toes

No serious injuries were sustained.

Two separate accidents happened yesterday, July 26, on the R580, by the Kinross water towers and the road heading towards SkyHill.

In the first accident reported, two bakkies and a vehicle were involved in a collision at around 15:50, at the crossing. No injuries were reported.

According to our sources that were on the scene, it is alleged that one of the drivers had skipped the stop sign, colliding with the other vehicle.

In the second accident, heading towards SkyHill from the water towers, a VW Polo and BMW came to a standstill down an embankment after a collision.



The accident happened at around 15:20 and the cause is unknown at this stage.

According to our sources, the woman driver of the BMW was treated on the scene and taken to a hospital by an ambulance service after sustaining serious injuries.

The third accident was attended to by towing services involving a delivery truck that happen after 13:00, in Devon.

It is alleged that the driver of the truck struck another truck when approaching a corner and came to a standstill when crashing through a property fence.

The driver of the truck and his passenger were treated by Provincial EMS.
