Kinross rapist gets 15 years imprisonment

Chundra Venkana was sentenced earlier in July to 15 years imprisonment.

A 32-year-old woman was walking home from her boyfriend’s house at around 20:00 on January 10 when three men attacked her from behind.

One man closed her mouth while the other two took off her clothes. They pushed her to the floor and raped her.

They told her that if she reports it to the police they will come back and deal with her.

The woman was scared to report it. She went to Evander Hospital when she noticed that she was pregnant.

The medical staff then urged her to open a rape case with the police. The other two men were also sentenced.

Venkana was connected with another rape case where a child was raped in 2014.
