Standerton Police clamp down on suspected drug smuggler

Police conducted a search and confiscated one sachet of crystal meth, weighing 9 grams, 19 plastic bags of dagga, weighing 1,856 kg, seven cellphones, six cellphone chargers, seven sim cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Standerton Crime Intelligence, Standerton K9 and Correctional Service personnel followed up the alibi of a member, allegedly involved in drug smuggling.
A 31-year-old official was arrested at his house on Thursday, May 4 at about 11:00.
Police conducted a search and confiscated one sachet of crystal meth, weighing 9 grams, 19 plastic bags of dagga, weighing 1,856 kg, seven cellphones, six cellphone chargers, seven sim cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The total value of the recovered items and drugs are estimated at R3 500.
The suspect appeared in Standerton District Court on Friday, May 5 for possession of drugs and other items.
