Young woman (19) appears in Secunda Court for drug dealings
The young woman was arrested for dealing drugs.
A 19-year-old suspect is due to appear in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court today, March 16, for dealing in drugs.
She was arrested during an intelligence-driven disruptive operation conducted by the Secunda-based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team together with Secunda Crime Intelligence and the K9 unit on Wednesday, March 15.
The team received information about drugs kept in a house on Van Schoor Street in Secunda and executed a search and seizure operation.
A woman was locked in the house when the police arrived, but they managed to gain entry to conduct a search.
According to Captain Dineo Sekgotodi, spokesperson for the Hawks in Mpumalanga, several bags of compressed dagga were found and seized for further investigation.
“The suspect was found in possession of drugs with an estimated value of R 80 000,” said Sekgotodi.
The young woman was arrested for dealing in drugs.
