Fanie is now a qualified level one greenkeeper
Dube did his greenkeepers course last year. He passed and received his certificate on February 22.
Saul Dube, better known as Fanie and an employee of the Delmas Bowls Club, completed his level one greenkeeper course under Bowls South Africa.
Dube was a part-time worker employed at the Victor Khanye Local Municipality (VKLM) and he maintained the grass in and around the Bowls Club.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Dube continued to help at the Bowls Club by maintaining the greens and the club grounds.
When the strict Covid restrictions ended, an agreement was reached between the Delmas Bowls Club and VKLM.

Dube would be employed by the Delmas Bowls Club and VKLM would maintain the area around the club.
Dube then did his greenkeepers course last year. He passed and received his certificate on February 22.
After the photo session, a smiling Dube, lawnmower and weed trimmer in hand, returned to do what he does best, which is to maintain the greens of the Delmas Bowling Club.
