Man from eMbalenhle re-arrested after being on the run for two years

A man from eMbalenhle appeared before the Evander Regional Court on Tuesday, November 1, after being on the run for two years.

He escaped from custody two years ago but was re-arrested in Groblersdal on Sunday, October 30.

He is facing charges of rape, housebreaking (burglary) and theft which were committed in eMbalenhle three years ago.

The man was re-arrested by the Mtetema Police after his details were circulated as that of a wanted criminal.

His case was postponed to Wednesday, December 7, for legal aid attorney application.
