Council dumps sewage in dam

KINROSS – Govan Mbeki Municipality apparently often dumps sewage in the public dam in Thistle Grove.

A resident took photos on one of these occasions on Thursday, 20 November and said the whole area stinks.

“This activity cannot be acceptable. This is a recreational area!”

He asked the worker on the scene what he was doing, but the man did not respond.

Mr Henry Masango, head of communication and marketing of the municipality, said: “An urgent investigation has been initiated to get to the bottom of this precarious activity.”
