Kinross mother appears in Evander Magistrate’s Court for child abuse

Three young girls report abusive mom to police

KINROSS – A mother was arrested recently after her three daughters aged eight, nine and 12, ran away from home and reported her to the police.

The three girls claimed that their mother abused them by assaulting them with an iron chain when they did not perform their house cores.

The mother allegedly pushed the girls’ heads in a bucket filled with water, soap and a peri-peri mixture when the dishes were not clean enough.

Allegedly she also forced them to drink her urine.

The girls noticed the bucket of water was ready when they arrived at home one afternoon and also saw a rope and an axe inside the house.

This is what prompted the daughters to report her.

The mother also arrived at the police station to report the girls as missing.

She told the police that she only punished them when they were being naughty.

She was arrested and appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 20 March.

The case was postponed to Thursday, 9 May 2019.
