[BREAKING NEWS] Eskom suspends power supply interruptions

Eskom has suspended supply interruptions to the Govan Mbeki Local Municipality with immediate affect.

In a statement to the Ridge Times, Eskom said they suspended its planned supply interruption to the municipality after they reached a payment agreement with the municipality.

“The Govan Mbeki Local municipality has honoured its obligation in terms of the agreed minimum payment received to enable the negotiation of the repayment plan for the remaining balance.

“Eskom would like to inform all affected customers that should the municipalities deviate from the new payment agreements, electricity interruptions will be implemented without notice.
