Event organiser, Fortune ‘DJ Cappuccino’ Maswanganyi said it was only right to to something special for the 10th annual Kofifi Dance Movement Party.

POLOKWANE – History was made during the 10th annual Kofifi Dance Movement Party which was held on October 29 at Meropa Casino & Entertainment World.

For the first time ever, the event had everyone on their feet with live performances from legendary artists such as Freddy Gwala and Sepedi singer Motlanalo.

On the night of the event, about 500 partygoers rolled up in old school cars and stunned the crowds with their vintage fashion, as per the Kofifi tradition.

According to event organiser, Fortune ‘DJ Cappuccino’ Maswanganyi, it was only right to to something special for the 10th annual Kofifi Dance Movement Party.

“People came from various provinces to have fun with us. This event was by far the best Kofifi Dance Party event we’ve ever had. The performances from the Vintage Guru’s, Motlanalo and Freddie Gwala were magnificent. The DJs kept it real and old school, and we thank the likes of DJ Norman, Matsobane, Ike Nthite, Cappuccino and Scotch for their stellar performances. We saw a great number of old and young people who attended the event for the first time. The whole production, form the lighthing to the sound, was state-of-the-art quality and created the perfect environment,” said Maswanganyi.

Freddy Gwala said he was happy to be invited to perform at the festival, as it displays a lot of respect and love from the Kofifi Dance Movement Party organisers.

“I don’t get many invites from Limpopo, but it makes me glad to know the Kofifi Dance Movement Party regards me as a legend and invited me to perform. I was humbled by the Limpopo residents who booked me and I was excited to perform for them. My fans are very important to me and I tried to give my best performance yet,” said Gwala and added he plans to produce more music for his fans in the near future.
