What2Watch: This week’s worth-the-watch

Here is Review’s rundown of what to stream on Showmax and Netflix this week.

POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: The Rehearsal

The Rehearsal explores the lengths one man will go to to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors and seemingly unlimited resources, Nathan Fielder (2022 Emmy nominee How To With John Wilson) allows ordinary people to prepare for life’s biggest moments by “rehearsing” them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design. When a single misstep could shatter your entire world, why leave life to chance?

Movie: Expiry Date

Musa (Mbulelo Katise from The Queen) is heartbroken when his proposal is rejected. His younger brother, who doesn’t believe in love, talks him into playing Expiry Date – a game where they date multiple women, with set break up times. But when it turns serious, Musa is faced with a choice.

For the kids: Space Jam: A New Legacy

This slam dunk of a live-action/animation sequel to the 1996 favourite movie sees a rogue AI trap basketball champion LeBron James and his son in a digital space, forcing LeBron, Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes gang into the highest-stakes basketball game ever.

Netflix:

Series: Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes

Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer confesses to his gruesome crimes in unguarded interviews, offering an unsettling view into a disturbed mind.

Movie: Luckiest Girl Alive

A writer’s perfectly crafted New York City life starts to unravel when a true-crime documentary forces her to confront her harrowing high school history.

For the kids: Spirit Rangers

Native American siblings Kodi, Summer and Eddy have a secret: They’re “Spirit Rangers” who help protect the national park they call home!
