POLOKWANE – Transport media liaison officer Mike Maringa has confirmed that heavy delays experienced on the N1 is due to a multi-vehicle collision.
The collision reportedly occurred near the filling station on the N1 south.
Maringa could not immediately comment on the number of vehicles involved in the collision.
“They are talking about multiple injuries, but I will update the soonest we get information,” Maringa told Review.
Motorists are advised to reduce their speed and make use of alternative roads where possible.
Thus far seven people have lost their lives on provincial roads this weekend.
